DQ-mat Newsletter #08 (April 2021)

Dear DQ-mat members,

we hope that you and your families are well and still muster enough patience until the pandemic is under control.

As you can see from the long list of publications and preprints from just the last few months, DQ-mat continues to be very successful and you've made the best of the situation: write papers.

Just in time for the start of the summer semester, we've assembled a hopefully inspiring programme for our DQ-mat Jour Fixe for you. All colloquium slots have been filled with DQ-mat-related topics including quantum opto-mechanics, quantum metrology, and quantum computing (see below). We are still in the process of compiling a lecture series on "Quantum Computing", which will most likely be a combination of internal and external lecturers. For more updated information, please visit our DQ-mat website frequently

As in the previous semester, we will continue to have the Topical Group meetings on demand, complemented by additional talks on specific topics.

Enjoy the summer semester and stay healthy!
Piet Schmidt, Klemens Hammerer, Alexander Wanner, Christian Engel
